Jewish Family and Career Services (JF&CS) has announced that Jay Cranman will be moving into the role of CEO beginning Aug. 18, naming him as “an ideal leader for our next chapter.”
Cranman is leaving a nine-year tenure as the president and CEO of Hands On Atlanta.
“HOA gave me people I trust, a mission I’ve loved, and a front-row seat to what’s possible when a city shows up,” Cranman wrote on LinkedIn. “I’ve loved the work, but even more than that – the people. HOA will always be part of my story, and I’ll always be rooting for what’s next.”
JF&CS said a national search for CEO drew many candidates, but Cranman stood out for his collaborative approach, thoughtful vision, and strong alignment with the organization’s values, according to a statement to stakeholders from Board Chair Deborah Jacobs.
“He is dedicated to supporting our team, expanding our reach, and building on the strengths that define JF&CS,” the statement said.
Terri Bonoff, who has served as CEO since 2019, will continue in her role until August.
Cranman formerly served as a JF&CS board member.
“Cranman brings a powerful combination of strategic leadership, nonprofit expertise, and a deep commitment to our mission,” Jacobs said.
