A group of local bankers and finance executives is raising $35 million to open Georgia Skyline Bank in North Fulton. The bank aims to fill the “growing gap in personalized financial services for small and midsize businesses,” according to a press release. With its headquarters at 1190 Old Roswell Road, GSB will offer a full range of commercial and consumer banking solutions, including lending, deposit services, and other related banking products through affiliated partners. “With limited competition from community banks in these high-growth markets, we see a clear opportunity,” Bank President Ryan C. Floyd said in a statement. “We’re organizing a tech-forward platform that delivers local decision-making and highly personalized service through an experienced and proven team.” Chief Executive Officer Steve Crowell is a 30-year finance veteran who previously led United National Bank and Embassy National Bank. Chief Financial Officer Phil Resch brings four decades of knowledge in finance, operations and regulatory compliance. Chief Risk and Chief Credit Officer Nick Marsit has 35 years of experience in risk management, compliance and guiding both de novo bank launches and bank IPOs.

Buckhead Village will soon be home to three new retailers: high-end French furniture designer Roche Bobois (this fall), London-based luxury womenswear brand ME+EM (early 2026), and New York-based lifestyle brand Hill House Home (early 2026).

 Cole Haan has opened its newest footwear and lifestyle retail store at Lenox Square in Buckhead. The 2,018-square-foot location is one of four new Cole Haan stores launching nationwide this fall.

Sub-Zero Group Southeast has reopened its Atlanta showroom for Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove products at 3280 Peachtree Road in Buckhead. The 11,000 square-foot space  – “designed to inspire homeowners, design professionals, and culinary enthusiasts alike” – is on the second floor of the prestigious  Terminus building.

Outdoor lifestyle retailer YETI announced it will open a new store at The Krog District in Inman Park next spring. 

Sola Salon Studios is bringing its health and beauty concept to 1200 White Street, an adaptive reuse mixed-use development in West End. The salon studio has leased 7,952 square feet in the development and is targeting an early 2026 opening.

The Council for Quality Growth has announces the recipients of its 16th Annual Community Improvement District (CID) Awards. CenterSquare Investment Management has acquired Presidential Drive, a 62,581 square foot infill service industrial property located in Chamblee. The property is currently 94% occupied by nine tenants. 

Pet care service business The Pet Set closed on Sept. 14 after 50 years in business. Owner Robert Fawcett said in an email to customers that he was retiring and closing the store. “I will miss all my great clients and most importantly, their pets that we have visited over the years. I am forever grateful for your business and support,” Fawcett wrote.
