Fewer voters took part in early voting in the Sandy Springs runoff races for mayor and city council District 4 than in the Nov. 4 election.

Wednesday, Nov. 26 was the fifth and final day for early voting in the runoff election. Through five days, 7,053 voters cast ballots at the two early voting polling places in Sandy Springs, according to the Fulton County Registration and Elections website. During early voting for the Nov. 4 municipal election, 11,756 voters cast ballots at those Sandy Springs advance voting sites.

City voters were choosing between incumbent Mayor Rusty Paul and Dontaye Carter, his 2021 opponent.

Voters in District 4 also had the opportunity to pick their next council member. Frank Roberts is facing Michelle Sullivan for the seat.

Any registered voter in Sandy Springs can vote on Dec. 2 at his or her regular polling place in the mayoral runoff race.
