Shared Ground
Nov. 19 โCreative communities arenโt defined only by the work they produce. Atlantaโs art scene offers daily reminders of that truth. Our museums, galleries, and studios are gathering points; group shows weave together work and perspectives; openings stitch new connections into place.
In this weekโs Sketchbook, we look at how those communal threads run through Atlanta.
Spalding Nix Fine Art’s โENSEMBLEโ group show returns this Friday, featuring the work of more than 60 artists whose practices map the Southeastโs creative pulse. Curator Spalding Nix promises a showcase of how the perspectives of others can sharpen our own.
The story of the โEn Masseโ group exhibit is a story of resilience and regrouping. When the South River Art Studios fire broke out on Nov. 12, it also consumed the 21-artist printmaking exhibition installed only days before. We have information on how you can help.
In moments of uplift or recovery, the same truth emerges: Atlantaโs creative ecosystem endures because its people do.
Come together.
