Tucker Municipal Elections Set for November 2025

The next City of Tucker municipal election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025. Three City Council seats and the office of Mayor will be on the ballot. Municipal elections in Tucker are nonpartisan.

The mayor and council members serve four-year terms. To run for office, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be a resident of Tucker for at least 12 consecutive months before the election
  • Reside in the district they seek to represent for at least six consecutive months before the election
  • Continue to live in the city (and the district, for council candidates) throughout their term
  • Be registered and qualified to vote in Tucker municipal elections

Qualifying to Run

Candidates must qualify in person at Tucker City Hall, located at 1975 Lakeside Pkwy Suite 350. The qualifying period runs:

  • Mon., Aug. 18 through Thurs., Aug. 21, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All Candidates must file the Notice of Candidacy Form. Candidates must also file one of the two forms below:

  • CCDR: Campaign Contribution Disclosure Report
  • Affidavit of a Candidate’s Intent Not to Exceed $2,500 in Contributions
    and/or Expenditures during their 4-year election cycle

A Declaration of Intent Form must be filed with the City Clerk prior to accepting campaign funds.

Qualifying Fees

In accordance with section 21-2-131 of the Georgia Election Code, the following qualifying fees (3% of the total gross salary of the office) were set by the City of Tucker Mayor and Council at the January 13, 2025, meeting:

  • Council Member – Districts 1, 2 & 3 – Post 1: $420.00
  • Mayor: $600.00
