This year, Buckhead is set to transform into a winter wonderland as Livable Buckhead presents its “Miracle on Peachtree” celebration. With a full calendar of festive, family-friendly events, the district is ready to welcome everyone to sip, stroll and create lasting memories.

Under the theme “Buckhead Shines Bright,” this year’s festivities are designed to bring the community together through a series of unforgettable experiences. Many events are free to attend, making it easy for everyone to join the fun.

From heartwarming community gatherings to lively crawls along Peachtree, here is your guide to the can’t-miss holiday happenings in Buckhead.

A Day of Holiday Magic: Saturday, Dec. 6

Mark your calendar for a full day of festive fun that offers something for everyone, from charitable activities to a spectacular tree lighting ceremony.

Give Back at Wreath Decorating for Atlanta’s Heroes (12 to 2 p.m.)

Start your day with an act of kindness at the Veranda in Buckhead Village. Livable Buckhead invites you to a heartwarming, family-friendly event decorating beautiful wreaths for Atlanta’s first responders. These festive creations will be delivered to all 43 fire stations and police precincts across the city, spreading holiday cheer to the brave individuals who serve our community. It’s a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit while giving back.

Sip and Stroll at the Buckhead Village Hot Chocolate Crawl (4 to 7 p.m.)

As the afternoon light begins to fade, the celebration continues with a festive Hot Chocolate Crawl. Stroll through the charming, decorated streets of Buckhead Village, stopping at designated locations to enjoy complimentary hot chocolate. For the adults, specialty holiday cocktails will be available for purchase. As you wander, live musicians will fill the air with the sounds of the season, creating a perfect holiday atmosphere. Admission is free, and for a $5 donation to Livable Buckhead, you can take home a commemorative holiday mug.

Witness the Magic at the Holiday Tree Lighting (7:30 to 8 p.m.)

The day’s main event takes place at Charlie Loudermilk Park. Just a short walk from the Hot Chocolate Crawl, a spectacular celebration awaits as Buckhead’s magnificent 24-foot holiday tree is officially lit. The evening will feature more holiday music, festive photo opportunities and even a special appearance by some friendly llamas. It’s a truly magical moment that will enchant guests of all ages.

The Festivities Continue: Hot Chocolate and Holiday Cheer on Dec. 13

If you miss the first crawl, you have another chance to experience one of the season’s sweetest traditions.

Explore the Peachtree Corridor Hot Chocolate Crawl (4 to 7 p.m.)

On Saturday, Dec. 13, the Hot Chocolate Crawl returns, this time along the iconic Peachtree Road corridor. Explore participating locations in and around Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, each offering their own unique take on hot chocolate and festive cocktails. The evening concludes with a festive after-party at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, where Santa, Mrs. Claus and the mischievous MiguElf will be waiting to complete a perfect holiday evening.

Ride with Santa

Get ready for a festive ride like no other as MiguElf, Buckhead’s mischievous holiday ambassador, takes over the Buc shuttle alongside Santa. Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, MiguElf will be spreading holiday cheer, snapping photos and stirring up laughs while Santa shares holiday wishes and hands out surprises.
